Once a player has reached the end, the game is over and players will receive redemption tickets based on how far they got on the board. When the players return back to the board, they move to their new positions automatically. Playing similarly to a board game, the goal is to get your character to the end of the map before anyone else.Įach game's round starts with a minigame - the final score of said minigame will determine how many moves each character will make (1st place = 5 moves, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 2, 4th = 1). You, along with three other players, are put on top of a map divided into different tiles. Update: I wanted to remind that completing a stage without dying awards bonus points, and you can get a lot of points from the slots at the end, I did horrible on these though and still managed to blow passed the required score.Pac-Man Fever plays similarly to the Mario Party series, and was likely inspired by it to some extent. Hope this helps, don't give up, its definitely achievable!

This achievement is definitely a bit of a pain, was one of the last ones I earned. For me when I finished the game I still had somewhere around 25K points left and I went back to the world 1 stages because I knew I did the worst on those, and after replaying about 3 or 4 missions I had a high enough score and the achievement popped. My recommendation would be to replay levels (especially those with mazes) that you know you didn't get a very good score on. You don't have to do something like start a new save. I realize I did not mention in my guide that you have to get a higher score for any more points to be added to your overall score, I think I omitted that because for me it was just a given, but thank you for adding that and sorry for the confusion. However, the mazes during the in game stages do count towards your score. I completed the Maze Marathon achievement and do not remember it adding to my score at all. I haven't played the game since I completed it, which was a while ago at this point, but as far as I know and remember, no, the maze mode does not count towards your score. I would also recommend replaying stages with mazes first as those will probably net you the most points. The key will be given to you and the achievement will pop immediately once you have enough points. I suggest just trying your best to do each of these as you play the game and then once it is finished if you still do not have enough points go back to earlier missions and replay them for high scores until you get enough points.

With these tips it should be pretty easy. Some tips for getting a high enough score:ġ) The points you get from the in game mazes are added to your score, try to eat as many ghosts as you can (scores you get from the mazes in the maze mode don't count they need to be earned in the level).Ģ) Try to get perfect or as close to perfect scores as you can from the bonus stages.ģ) Though I personally sucked at these, you can get a lot of extra points from the slot machine at the end of each stage.Ĥ) It should go without saying to collect all of the in game fruit, dots, and kill all the enemies that you can to get a high score, also not dying will award bonus points at the end of the stage. You can finish the game and replay old missions to unlock the key so long as the save file you are on hits the total required. Once you hit that score you will receive the key and the achievement will pop. The points are totalled from each of the levels/boss fights. In order to get the Magic Key you need a total of 765K points. Posting my own guide for this achievement so there is no confusion.
